On the back of the successful BBC documentary ‘Attenborough and the Giant Sea Monster’ The Etches Collection has seen an incredible growth in visitor numbers. Therefore, we are looking to hire two friendly, positive, self-motivated individuals to join our wonderful team in supporting and enhancing our visitor experience. You will have excellent customer service skills with some previous experience in a retail, heritage, or a hospitality environment.

In this role you will primarily be covering the admissions desk and museum shop, which encompasses the overall greeting and serving our visitors, assisting with the shop stock control, merchandise display and cashing up.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service skills at the admission desk and museum shop.

  • Professional and enthusiastic with strong communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving and able to work on own initiative.

  • Passionate about working with the public and a true team player.

  • Ensuring that all shop/admission transactions and sales are accurately recorded.

  • Daily cashing up and Touchoffice system reports.

  • A passion or interest in fossils, palaeontology or geology is also a bonus!

Due to its rural location you must have your own transport or live locally.

START DATE: Week of March 25th, 2024.

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Salary: £11.42 per hour
